Jon's MENSA Question of the Day

--posted by JRJ on 10/17/2005

What is the four-digit number, no zeros, in which the first number is five times the last, the second is four more than the first and three times the third, and the third is two more than the last and two less than the first?

I noticed that over the past few days the questions have gotten ridiculously easy. Unfortunately, I'm taking them out of a "question-a-day" book of mine and don't have anything to substitute for them really, especially since I'm already having to substitute for any question that uses some sort of picture in it.
