Jon's MENSA Question of the Day

--posted by JRJ on 2/14/2006

Valentine's Day has its roots in the tradition that Saint Valentine provided dowries for unmarried poor girls. His feast day thus became a celebration of love and marriage, and young men sent tokens of affection to young women of their choice. Now Valentine's Day seems to have gotten a little out of hand, with people sending wishes to their mothers-in-law, aunts, teachers, all their third-grade classmates, and many others. Given this crush of cards, if seven valentine makers can make seven valentines in one hour and forty minutes, how long does it take fourteen valentine makers to make fourteen valentines?

Also 1:40.

Curious, when you say 'correct' followed by a percentage, what does the percentage mean?

The percentage is the number of MENSA test takers that got the answer correct.
