Jon's MENSA Question of the Day

--posted by JRJ on 7/12/2006

As an antiques dealer located, of course, in Puzzleland, you are used to taking a loss now and then. The genuine Louis XIV TV set you bought has proved very difficult to sell. You priced it originally at $100. Then you marked it down to $80. Then you marked it down to $64. Following your same rules, how much will its price be after the next markdown? (You realize, of course, that Louis XIV TV sets are hard to sell: they aren't state of the art.)

$51.20
I must confess I was too lazy to do the math in my head, so I used a calculator to get the cent value.
