Dr. Cheri Yecke
--posted by Tony Garcia on 8/03/2005This Sunday's show will be the first in a series of interviews that we are calling the "Getting To Know You" Series. The goal is to interview all of the hopefuls for the 6th Congressional District race. All of the Republican candidates are booked. The Democrat candidates have been invited on numerous occassions and, in the words of Tinklenberg, have the stance of "don't pencil me in".
Anyway, Dr Cheri Yecke is our first guest in this series. Since we have a cross in audience between our blogs and the radio station I have decided to open up the blog for potential questions. What do YOU want to know about Dr. Yecke?

A couple things:
1. a rumor is on the Draft Pawlenty site:
Rumor from the Sixth District
DraftPawlenty doesn't make it a policy of posting rumors ( or anything about the MN CD 6 for that matter ) but this seemed like an interesting piece considering it included George Allen.
Just a little heads up:
Talk around Minnesota is that Cheri Yecke will be dropping out of the race for the MN CD-6.
It appears that Yecke is having trouble picking up steam and raising money. Just last quarter the fundraiser featuring George Allen only brought in $3,000.
Keep an eye for an announcement soon...
DP isn't sure if there is any truth to this, but it is interesting to see that George Allen doesn't do that well at raising money. Maybe it's time for Pawlenty to move up the ladder.

Also, what does Yecke think of Bush's recent announcement favoring equal time for Intelligent Design Creationism to be taught in biology classes.
Hi - had something else going on during the show - but am interested to hear your impressions of Yecke.
Did you invite the second democrat - Scotty Mortensen to be on your show?
All 5 Republicans were invited and immediately accepted. Mortensen has not returned 4 phone calls left on his campaign voice mail. Tinklenberg said "don't pencil [him] in" but ask again when the open date comes closer.
