Would Hoplin do a hard-hitting interview?
--posted by Tony Garcia on 6/15/2005Eric The Crook Hoplin, new Deputy Chair for the MN GOP, was asked to do an interview. Now there is so much to really dig down into. Kennedy v Machine is posting the interview in three parts. That's special. KvM's First Ringer conducted the interview. These interviewers spent a lot of time bowing at the alter of Hoplin and then conducting a Bitch & Whine session because Hoplin's Master (Ron Eibensteiner) was elected out by (as they implied) grassroots workers that are too stupid to do good for the party. Given that, how hard hitting will the follow-ups be after they ask the obligatory questions about RDI and swindling money from seniors on fixed incomes? Will they even ask Hoplin to clarify some glaring contradictions in his cover story?
My prediction: They asked about "the fundraising through RDI" and let the softball go at that. No follow up, no hard-hitting and no deep-digging. I bet it would be the same type of questioning that Al Franken would give Bill Clinton about impeachment.
I doubt Eric The Crook Hoplin can handle the heat, but I'm hoping to get him on the show for an interview...Marty, what do you think?
In the meantime...watch Hoplin worshipers throw batting practice at KvM to Eric The Crook. And then watch them bend over backwards to make sure Hoplin does not have to sweat about the fundraising issue. And all the while they (KvM and First Ringer) will act like they landed the interview of the century.
Star struck or blind partisan hacks? You decide.
