Gitmo prisoners fighting...and should be beaten
--posted by Tony Garcia on 7/02/2005Did you know that prisoners at Gitmo are fighting? Oh my.
Ben Fox, Associated Press Writer, seemed surprised but then also indignant that the military police, being human, would respond every now and then.
The prisoners banged on their cells to protest the heat. They doused guards with whatever liquid was handy - from spit to urine. Sometimes they struck their jailers, one swinging a steel chair at a military police officer.
...
Some prisoners at the U.S. base in eastern Cuba have gone on the attack, as in April 2003 when a detainee got out of his cell during a search for contraband food and knocked out a guard's tooth with a punch to the mouth and bit him before he was subdued by MPs. One soldier delivered two blows to the inmate's head with a handheld radio, the documents show.
If anyone doubts that the conditions of Gitmo is caused by the prisoners then I would challenge them to come to me and do nothing while I urinate on them, spit on them, hit them with fists, steel chairs and my feet.
Now Ben King does a typical media move in his article that warrants response. He turns on the military. Suddenly in his article it is the terrorists who attack, the Military Police resond (mostly in minor ways) and it is the Americans that King wants to see punished more.
[A]n inmate threw a partially full urine bottle at an MP in May 2002, apparently because he believed the soldier had intentionally kicked his hospital bed. When the soldier threw the urinal back, the detainee grabbed a steel chair and swung it at guards before they subdued him.
A military witness defended the MP, writing: "I believe (name deleted) to be a good and honest soldier ... and just influenced by negative elements among us." The documents don't make clear what punishment, if any, the MP got.
Ben, you are an anti-military moron. How about we test what your reactions are if I piss on your...and then swing a steel chair at you for your response to being pissed on. How would you react? Should we punish you for defending yourself?
I think the terrorist deserved much worse for swinging a steel chair as a weapon. Beaten to a bloodly pulp would serve that terrorist well. I commend the soldier for his restraint. Ben King, in his obvious anti-military pro-terrorist stance wants the soldiers punished.

"Several guards were trying to hold down the detainee who was putting up heavy resistance," recounted a translator who saw the incident. "The detainee was covered in blood as were some of the guards."
It is quite obvious which side Ben King sympathizes with. Is it the Americans? No, no, noo, no. Is it the military? No, no, noo, no. Is it the terrorists? Yeah, yeah, yeaaah, yeah. Ben King, like so much of the media and all "anti-war" types, sympathizes with the enemy of the United States. That is their choice, but be honest about it. I would have more respect for Ben King if he did not mask his counter-American sympathies with a facade of reporting about terrorists on the attack. Just be upfront about your beliefs.
It would be much better if Mr. Durbin would just be upfront about his anti-military beliefs
I'm an evil conservative. I believe in personal responsibility, consequences, pulling yourself by your own bootstraps and private over public. I believe that race should NEVER be a deciding factor, especially in hiring practices or student admissions. Individual choice and states right are surpeme. There.
Now it is Ben King's, Mr Durbin's and the rest of the left's turn. Just be honest: you are anti-military, anti-soldiers, terrorist sympathizers, counter-American, one-world government, state-ownership of all property, certain races deserve privileges, speech controlling people.
