Countries and states...what is the latest news

--posted by Tony Garcia on 1/11/2006

Do you know all of the countries in the United Nations? How about in NATO? What about OPEC?

What is the latest news from Syria? What are the headlines from Florida or California?

All those questions can be answered here.

The launch point for these questions depend on if you are looking for a state within the United States or a country.

To see the answers to the above question click on the links above. To see how to do this on your own read on.

For a particular state simply click on the American Flag in the archive picture list on the left hand side of the blog. It will take you here. You will see all 51 flags (Yes, I included D.C. in here). Click on the flag of the state you wish to view. One thing you may notice is that some of the states are bold face and some are not. The bold face indicates that there are blog postings about that state and you will see the list of those on the state page.

Once you get there you will be able to view the top 8 headlines about those states.

For countries simply click on the United Nations flag in the archive picture list on the left hand side of the blog. It will take you here. On this page you will find the following:
1..Archive of Blog Posts about the United Nations
2..List of flags for which there are Blog Posts (which will take you to that country's page on the blog)
3..List of United Nation member Countries (which will take you to that country's page on the blog)
4..List of non-UN members which are referenced somehow in the blog
5..List of International Organizations such as NATO, OPEC or the EU
6..Headlines about the United Nations
On the country page is where you will find the headlines for any country.

The International Organization pages will also be able to take you to the country pages.

There you go...the risk of information overload. Have fun.
