Schiavo Parents to Arrange Funeral Mass

Here is a quick story about Terri Schindler Schiavo's family arranging a funeral Mass for her tonight.

My question is why is Michael still being a jerk. He would not give the family a lock of hair. He melted down Terri's wedding ring and made a ring for himself (how does his fiance feel about that).

I cannot figure it out.
