Good Economic News Again
--posted by Tony Garcia on 8/05/2005The Washington Post reports some good economic news.
The nation's economy generated 207,000 jobs in July, the Labor Department reported today, exceeding expectations and scoring the best job growth in three months.
In addition, average hourly earnings rose by 6 cents, or 0.4%, to $16.13, the largest gain in a year.
The unemployment rate held steady at about 5 percent.
A year ago, the jobless rate was 5.5 percent.
...
Most economists had expected job gains of about 180,000. May and June had produced 126,000 and 166,000 jobs respectively, the report said, revising earlier figures upward.
What possibly could the left say negative about this? My guess is that rather than giving credit to Bush they will act like it is not happening.

Funny, there was no "analysis" offered during the campaign. The New York Times and the rest of the media (and the left) simply looked at the raw numbers (and lied about the trends).
Living wage has NEVER been a part of the jobless claims/jobs created reports and it is not a fair comparison to suddenly hold the current President to a different standard. (Though I it is obvious from the criticisms of the left that since he is a Republican he is held to a higher standard.)
There actually is a clear economic plan. I am not surprised that you have not heard of it...the media rarely reports the whole story. Tax cuts spark economic growth. The people that make the money also create jobs. If they have more in their pockets they create jobs.
Case in point...so long as our taxes do not go up we can afford to have a home cleaning service, internet grocery shopping/delivery, etc. That alone creates jobs and we are barely in the top bracket for Minnesota (and among the top for federal tax grids). That means that with tax cuts (either bringing rates to a flatter system or across the board) will create more jobs...better paying jobs at that.
Break away from the dogma that has been forced down your throat. You find enlightenment. It worked for me.
