Dems Blame Game in the midst of a disaster

--posted by Tony Garcia on 9/05/2005

More of the blame game regarding Katrina. It seems clear that if you are a Democrat you have to blame the right for everything no matter how untrue the charges are.

Courtesy of Michelle Malkin:
Unfortunately, while Americans from all walks of life have been busy raising money, the unhinged Left keeps slinging bull.

Brian Maloney at The Radio Equalizer, my indefatigable blog investigative partner, spotlights the hurricane-induced insanity of Air America Radio hosts Rachel Maddow and Randi Rhodes, who really have bigger things to worry about.

And she proceeds to give a few more like the nutcases at World Can't Wait
Bush's callous refusal to end his vacation even as the hurricane was killing people and the terrible devastation was happening is outrageous. What is going on in New Orleans is in no small part a concentrated example of how this administration views and treats Black people, thousands of whom were left without the resources to evacuate, and were not immediately rescued.
Yep, check out the leaders of various cabinet positions to get an idea of how racist Bush is...you freaks.

The left is full of compassionate people. Like this caring (and rational) guy who refuses to help the people in New Orleans because he blames Bush for Katrina.
I'm sick of footing the bill for George W. Bush and the rest of his so-called compassionate conservatives. It's been well-documented over the past two days that there were all kinds of warnings about what could happen to New Orleans and that the levees designed to keep out the water were sinking or uncompleted.

What did Bush do? Nothing. Actually, worse than nothing. He was so busy fighting his cowboy war in Iraq (cheers to Hugo Chavez for the analogy) that he actually diverted money away from the projects that might have saved New Orleans because the war was so damn expensive! And now I should pony up to help out? Sorry, Charlie.
I think the proper question to ask is What did the mayor and governor do? Answer: Nothing before and panic afterwards.
More compassion that typifies the left comes from Brad Blog:
I'm not going to post the piece I started to write.

My original reaction to the Katrina catastrophe was going to be: "NOT ONE DIME."

For an hour or so, I contemplated the idea of turning it into a crusade: No-one in the blue states (where the money is) should give one dime of aid to the victims of this hurricane, which devastated Bush-friendly regions.
So, disaster strikes and IMMEDIATELY the reaction was political. That explains why so many on the left took less time to publicly politicize Katrina than Katrina lasted as a Category 5 hurricane.

His compassion continues:
So why was I thinking of starting a movement against giving aid to the stricken areas?

Because these are red states. They voted for Bush. These ninnies obviously wanted these policies, and they deserve to live with the consequences of their votes.

A large part of me still believes that many of these W-worshipping numbskulls deserve to suffer and to die. They brought it on themselves. Let them look to Jayzuss for aid: It's time they stopped leeching off the more productive blue staters.

(Californians stupidly give much more to the federal government than we receive from it; the money flows in a very different direction in the red states.)
You see, to the left we are not all Americans. To them there is no such thing as United States of America. (And by the way, was that an arguement for a flat tax instead of the progressive tax that is socking it to the Californians?)

Chrenkoff compiles a decent list of more insane people blaming the right for a natural disaster. The list includes:
Roberts F Kennedy, Jr (previously discussed here
Muhammad Yousef Al-Mlaifi, director of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Endowment's research center
"assorted Jihadis"
Ross Gelbspan in the Boston Globe
J├╝rgen Trittin, Germany's Environmental minister
Wolfgang Clement, Germany's Economic minister
Bob Brigham of Swing State Project
Patricia Taylor at Daily Kos (any surprise that lunacy comes from there?)
Democratic Underground (another group of uber-socialist hate-spewing hacks)
Mary MacElveen of Radio Left
Russell Shaw at the shrill-filled Huffington Post...who blames Katrina on Reagan for beating carter in 1980.
Daily Kos claims Katrina is racism proven
*sigh*
The left, they with no solutions of their own, blame anything on the right. At least they are more creative than the Lone Gunmen (of X-Files) in their theories.
