Man accused of shooting then raping wife

This is a disgusting story.

Kendall Williams, 46, who was on federal probation for stealing from the union, is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and rape in the Tuesday-night attack on his wife, Crystal, 45, in their King of Prussia home.

Upper Merion Township police went to the home on Valley Forge Circle about 9 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.

Kendall Williams met two police officers at the door and told them his wife was in the bedroom. They found her lying in a pool of blood.

She was nude from the waist down and bleeding from several gunshot wounds of the neck, abdomen and chest.

On the way to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, the victim was able to tell Upper Merion Detective Rich Gehman what had happened. She said that she and her husband had argued Monday night and that, in the morning, she told him she was leaving.

She put her belongings in a car, then re-entered the house where, she said, her husband confronted her with a semi-automatic handgun. She fell down on the floor and pretended to be dead so he would stop firing. After several hours, she said her husband returned, took off his clothes and raped her.

Williams is jailed in Montgomery County, and his bail is set at $5 million.
