Woman files suit against Falcons' QB Vick

Headline speaks for itself...what do you think of it? I think this is the litigation lottery being tried yet again.

When did she find out about her new gift from Vick? How long after she found out did she wait until filing this lawsuit on March 14, 2005?

That's a valid point. Some relevant issues:

- She may be after money, but would someone be willing to endure public ridicule and scandal over a long period of time in hopes of collecting monetary damages, which clearly won't come easily in this case?

- If the unprotected sexual contact was "unwanted" and occured "despite her objection," how strong was her protest? Why didn't she report it as "battery" right away or soon after it occured regardless of whether it gave her a venereal disease?

- Assuming her objection wasn't strong enough to qualify the contact as forced, the complaint essentially boils down to "He hid this from me." (As far as I know, Georgia doesn't criminalize transmission of STDs.) Well, if you were dumb enough to trust him, why should he be charged with negligence?

If it wasn't for the amount of time that has elapsed between the incident and her bringing the lawsuit, I would agree she had a right to some monetary compensation.

I don't even think him not telling her about an STD is worthy of compensation. If he lied then yes.
