I have been saying that the Silence of Muslims regarding the extremist is actually Support of the "extremists". I also posted that bombings in Egypt were because Egypt is "cooperating with the United States and/or because Egypt is not trying to wipe Jewish people (and Israel) off the face of the planet." CmptrBug then commented that
If they continue on like this, certain groups of terrorists will have a whole lot of countries that are not normally allied with us suddenly banding against them (including Muslim nations). Strategically and military they are morons - how many fronts can one small "army" have before they wear themselves too thin.How true that is.
In Morocco recently the citizens began to demonstrate against Al-Qaeda. Hooray! Count them on the very short list of Muslims that do not support terrorism.
Thousands marched through Morocco's biggest city on Sunday to protest Al-Qaeda's decision to kill two Moroccan hostages in Iraq. Holding banners and chanting "Muslims are brothers. A Muslim does not kill his brother" and "'Yes' to freedom, 'No' to terrorism and barbarity," the protesters marched through Casablanca, a city of six million and Morocco's financial capital.Yep, standing up against those scumbags may be dangerous. But so was standing up against Hitler. But standing up against that evil is necessary for both survival & humanity.
Al-Qaeda has said it decided to kill the Moroccan Embassy employees, Abdel-Rahim Boualem and Abdel-Karim al-Mouhafidi because of Morocco's support for the U.S.-backed Iraqi government.
Morocco's influential organization of Islamic scholars, known as the High Council of the Ulema and the Councils of Ulema in the Moroccan Kingdom, said Al-Qaeda members in Iraq will suffer the "horrors of hell" if they kill the Moroccan hostages and the victims will die as martyrs. It dismissed Al-Qaeda's argument that its verdict to kill the two embassy employees was "God's judgment."Hooray. Moroccans are not Silent and thus they are not in Support of "extremist" Muslims.

Thanks for posting this. The Moroccans have taken a small but significant step.
The next step is for Muslims to say the same thing about any hostage(s), Muslim or not.
I agree. Let's see how the Jordanians react over the next few days to see if the Moroccans are starting a movement or if they were just an anomoly.
