Race for #1 draft pick
--posted by Tony Garcia on 12/05/2005While everyone is talking about the playoffs for various NFL teams I thought I would give an update on the Reggie Bush sweepstakes. Reggie Bush is a junior running back from USC that is projected to be the #1 pick of the coming draft. He is very capable of helping whatever team he ends up on immediately.
Basically, the worst record in the NFL will have the #1 pick. In the event of a tie the team with the weaker schedule will get the #1 pick. If there is a tie after that then the normal NFL tiebreaking procedures will be applied. here is a site that also lists the "if the draft were today" order.
#1...Houston (1-11)
#2...New York Jets (2-10) (Strength of Schedule=.526)
#3T..San Francisco (2-10) (SoS=.552) (Conf .200)
#4T..Green Bay (2-10) (SoS=.552) (Conf .222)
#5...Tennessee (3-9) (SoS=.510)
#6...New Orleans (3-9) (SoS=.526)
#7...Buffalo (4-8) (SoS=.490)
#8...Cleveland (4-8) (SoS=.500)
#9T..Arizona (4-8) (SoS=.510) (Strength of Victory .250)
#10T.Baltimore (4-8) (SoS=.510) (Strength of Victory .292)
#11T.Detroit (4-8) (SoS=.510) (Swept Ari & Bal)
#12..Oakland (4-8) (SoS=.526)
#13..Miami (5-7) (SoS=.464)
#14..St Louis (5-7) (SoS=.484)
#15..Philadelphia (5-7) (SoS=.526)
