Disspelling the myths
--posted by Tony Garcia on 9/06/2005The American Thinker disspells some of the accusatory myths that the media and others have been spewing since Katrina hit Louisiana. It is a long article but very well done and very informative.
Some highlights:
While the news media have focused on a few modest appropriation cuts for New Orleans levees and water control, they have largely ignored the fact that the major reconstruction project that would provide more than a temporary fix to the city’s sinking condition, has been stalled for years. The big problem, as even the New York Times admits, is that the Louisiana coast is disappearing . Almost 2 million acres have disappeared in 75 years (the size of Delaware and Rhode Island combined). And this has not been caused by global warming, or greenhouse gases, just as the number and severity of hurricanes are not related to these two twin towers of evil either. Each year, an area the size of Manhattan disappears.
I think it is a must read...at least bookmark it somehow.

kookie wuvs u lot nice blog matey. I am from Austriiilliiaa...wooppieeee
I like your blog alot! I guess u could call me "politically speaking" conservative and Right Wing. But i would rather call myself just a christian. I voted for Bush and i agree with alot of the viewes he has. I dont think that what happened in New Orleans is his fault and i am tired of people saying that! So good for u!
Thank you very much. As with many bloggers, the best gratitude is to spread the word about our existance.
