Tookie's best message would be his execution

--posted by Tony Garcia on 12/10/2005

The Left has been rallying around convicted murderer Stanley Tookie Williams. It seems that if you write some kids books you become a model citizen in the eyes of the Left.

Did you know that this "model" and "reformed" citizen has been disciplined many times during his time in prison? And not for little stuff either.
While Williams' celebrity cheerleaders have claimed he has been a model prisoner throughout his sentence and have pointed to this as evidence of his rehabilitation, the DA's report contains 11 examples of incidents for which he was disciplined, beginning in 1981 and continuing through 1993. They include:

a violent fight with another inmate June 30, 1981, in which he repeatedly struck the prisoner while kneeling over him;

a refusal to line up for a return to his cell Jan. 26, 1982, in which he threatened a guard;

throwing a chemical substance in the eyes of a guard Jan. 28, 1982, in an attack that resulted in chemical burns and emergency treatment;

a second attack on a guard with a chemical substance Jan. 29, 1982;

an attack on another inmate Feb. 16, 1984, in which Williams only stopped beating the prisoner when a warning shot was fired;

a threat to kill a guard June 8, 1984;

the beating of another inmate July 4, 1986 that only ceased when armed officers arrived on the scene;

another fight with an inmate that led to his own stabbing, reportedly retaliation for his ordering another inmate to be stabbed;

his continued association with the Crips street gang led to administrative segregation Oct. 19, 1988;

the beating of another inmate Dec. 24, 1991, that only stopped after a warning shot was fired;

another fight with other inmates July 6, 1993, in which a stabbing instrument (shank) was recovered.
Yep, some model reformee.

This Angel of Hell also writes to the youth. In these writings he compares the trials of slaves to that of prisoners. He compares the guards to the slave masters.
In prison, the basis of the so-called relationship between guards and prisoners is that guards issue institutional orders and prisoners must comply – or the prisoners suffer the consequences. These consequences include prisoners being placed in solitary confinement in "The Hole," which is known as receiving "hole time," or prisoners are forced to comply through violence inflicted on prisoners.

In the matter of the master-slave concept, there are commonalities between a guard as master and a prisoner as slave.

Similarity between the guard’s role and the master’s role can be found in the guard’s absolute power to control the prisoner. This control is carried out by enforcing rules on the prisoner; closely watching the prisoner to ensure compliance with those rules; punishing, abusing and, if need be, eliminating the prisoner through banishment to solitary confinement or through violence.

On the other hand, the resemblance of the prisoner to the slave is that both are subjected to strict rules, confined like animals, controlled, often brutalized physically as well as psychologically, and deprived of basic human rights.
I do not care what Tookie's intent here was there are some problems with this type of writing that the NAACP should be up in arms about...if only the NAACP actually cared about the advancement of blacks as their name implies.

Slaves existed involuntarily and provided no usefulness to society as a whole. (Though some might argue there was neglible commercial benefits there was not a benefit to society.) Prisoners exist voluntarily...because the crimes for which they are being punished were committed voluntarily. No comparison.

Slavery was a practice that was fortunately ended. Prisons is a necessity that must continue to exist, even more so thanks to Tookie's creation: the Crips. ("In 2004, the city of Los Angeles alone, gang crimes accounted for 291 homicides, 717 attempted homicides, 2,616 felony assaults, 61 attacks on police officers, 2,308 robberies, 44 kidnappings, 36 rapes, 754 acts of witness intimidation, 20 acts of extortion and 188 carjackings."--source: Free Republic)

I digress.

Tookie's message to kids is to not do what he did. But what did he do?
Williams, 51, was convicted of murdering a convenience store clerk and, days later, three people at a motel. He denies committing the crimes.

Some people are convinced Williams should die, including a former acquaintance.

“Tookie really murdered those people,” Jimel Barnes, 52, of Compton said at Los Angeles City Hall before a rally there.

Williams “went around South-Central [Los Angeles] bragging about it,” said Barnes, who is also cited by some as a co-founder of the Crips.
"Kids, don't do what I did, which is nothing. I did nothing."

If his "I been there and you don't wanna go there" message is to have any impact it has to end with his demise. What would be the message to the youth in gangs if they see this monster of monsters get a shred of leniency? 'No Consequences' would be the message. If he is executed then his message will have a more lasting and more impressionable impact. Well, after the pre-meditated rioting is done. The message: you kill and you will end up like Tookie.
